Any excuse to sit and eat a bunch of food is a great one. So you can imagine how much I love the Superbowl. Sitting around with friends and watching the game while eating loads of yummy dip and appetizers is my absolute favorite. I’ve put together a huge list of all the best Super Bowl appetizers from food bloggers all over the web.
Yes, I love football too. While born and raised in Chicago naturally you would think I’m a die hard Bears fan. Well, while I still have love for the Bears after the whole Jay Cutler fiasco I moved on to bigger and better.
After visiting Pittsburgh a few times and eventually deciding it was where our family would end up I proudly say I am a Steelers fan. Pittsburgh is an amazing city filled with friendly and wonderful people. Plus who doesn’t love coming through Fort Pitt Tunnel and seeing this beautiful city.
Super Bowl appetizers are extremely tasty and include some of the best types of food. Sliders, dips, and wings, top the list of some of the most popular. I do, however, have a few more tips of appetizers in our list.

Tips to Keep Super Bowl Appetizers Hot
About 20-30 minutes before the game starts you start serving up those appetizers. The bad part about this is by the time the game starts appetizers can get cold. There are a few tips that can help to keep apps hot and fresh.
Use a Crock Pot
My number one tip is use a crock pot for more than just dips. Ask people if you can borrow to have extra on hand.
Place a few balls of foil at the bottom of a crockpot. Add water to the bottom. Secure a sheet of foil inside the crockpot on top of the balls of foil and water. Heat on low until water is hot then switch to keep warm.
Place non saucy appetizers inside to keep warm. You can use this trick for cheese sticks, potato skins, non saucy wings, sliders and more.
Serve portions at a time
While I personally don’t like missing any portion of the game if you don’t mind you can only serve up smaller portions keeping others on hand ready to bake or fry. This is great for making sure food stays fresh and is served up hot.
Chafing Sets
While I usually don’t like this due to the possibility of kids being at parties, chafing sets to keep food warm is another option.
Chafing sets are those stands that hold aluminum pans and have little heaters underneath. They can be found and almost any party store.
There you have it 42 amazing Super Bowl Appetizers and a few ways to keep food hot and fresh during the game.
