I miss the days when I would make breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. I got away from the tradition a few months ago when, life, got in the way. I have a massive taste for pancakes and I’m looking forward to an awesome pancake breakfast this upcoming weekend.
Pancakes are a fantastic option any time of day really. I have made pancakes for dinner on many occasions. They are easy, cheap, and filling. Plus my toddler actually really likes them. With this picky eater getting him to eat anything can be a bit of a hassle. He never fights pancakes.
Pancakes are like grilled cheese, you can change them up, mix flavors, add flavors, and have a new fantastic recipe. That’s exactly what these bloggers did. They took the traditional pancake and added a spin to them that takes them to a whole new level.
While we enjoy the classic chocolate chip pancakes I think we are going to have to switch it up and try all these flavors too. Some of them would go great with an egg, bacon, sausage, and hashbrown dinner. Turning your pancakes into a dessert option. I may need more cast iron pans in my future.
There are three tricks that work well to create the perfect round pancake. Pour from a measuring cup onto the pan. Use an ice cream scooper to pour into the pan. Get a squeeze bottle with a wide nozzle to create the perfect pancake.
If you want to create fun designs in your pancakes you will need this squeeze bottle. Create the design on the skillet or griddle with the pancake mix and the squeeze bottle. Once the top gets bubbly pour pancake batter over the design to create the circle. Once the pancake is bubbly and ready to flip, flip and see the design.
