When it comes to the Fall and Winter dessert options, anything apple takes the cake for me. Yes, I like pumpkin just fine, cheesecake is always a winner, and red velvet is a delectable choice too. However, this time of year apple just hits the spot differently.
So I’ve decided to round up some amazing and unique apple recipes you can try your hand at this year.
Apple Desserts
I tried my hand at making an apple pie from scratch. The pie was delicious but it was not quick and easy and on warm days in a house that doesn’t have central air, it can be a bit of work. Temperature control in your house plays a pretty big role in the way crusts and breads turn out.
While apple pie is delicious there are loads of other apple desserts that you should absolutely try to make too. I went looking with some of my favorite bloggers to find delicious apple desserts. They did not disappoint at all.

Canned Or Homemade Filling
I prefer using homemade filling because I can control the amount of sugar that goes into it. I’ve used red delicious and gala apples to make my fillings. Gala is better in my opinion but you should go with the apple you enjoy or what’s recommended in the recipe.
In a pinch though canned filling does work well with most apple dessert recipes. I do keep a can or two on hand in case I need a quick filling. Like what I use in my Oatmeal Apple Crisp.
