Have you ever noticed that when fall hits you start massively craving comfort foods? It happens to me every year. Unfortunately, with a busy work at home schedule comfort food cravings usually lead to ordering a pizza or getting Five Guys. To help save money while still getting comfort food quality I’ve put together a list of delicious slow cooker recipes.
I personally love using a slow cooker because by mid afternoon the entire home will smell good. I also love that I can start dinner in the morning and not worry about it for the rest of the day.
When the schedule gets busy the slow cooker is the only way I can still offer semi healthy homemade meals that are budget friendly. I love cooking in my slow cooker. Sometimes I feel like I need a couple of crocks to put in it so that I can cook and store leftovers several times a week.
I have owned many slow cookers in my life and I prefer the Hamilton Beach slow cookers. Hamilton Beach Stay or Go 6-Quart Slow Cooker is the one I currently use and it works great. It’s easy to use and offers a wonderful keep warm function. If your food is done cooking you can turn it to the warm function to keep it warm until you’re ready to serve.
I personally use the keep warm function for dips at parties. You can scoop some out and serve it with the rest of the appetizers and then refill it.
While we all love the ease of using a slow cooker to make dinner, a lot of us hate cleaning our slowe cooker. I have a great tip on how to get your slow cooker crock sparkling clean in no time and with hardly any scrubbing. Scroll to the bottom for more on how I clean my slow cooker.
So without further ado here are 20 slow cooker recipes that free up time spent in the kitchen while providing you with a great meal for your family.

No Scrub Cleaning Tip
Before we go I’m going to give you my #1 crock pot cleaning tip. This tip makes cleaning your slow cooker easy without scrubbing and leaves it sparkling clean.
Baking Soda is my secret. After one particular slow cooker meal I had some pretty crusted on food along the sides of my slow cooker. Not feeling like scrubbing I filled the slow cooker with piping hot water and sprinkled a bit of baking soda in it. I let it sit until the water was cool enough to handle.
All it took was a quick wipe down with a green scrubby side of my sponge and all the crusted on bits came right off with ease. A quick wash with dish soap and my slow cooker was sparkling without any major issues.
